Strike a pose

It's been awhile since my last post. Honestly after that whole thing with Elijah, anything I would write about Jayden crawling or standing all seemed so trivial. Elijah lived for about 12 hours, and then passed away peacefully.

As far as my little monkey goes, there has been a lot going on. She is starting to crawl. She is still in the beginning stages, but she is constantly getting that belly off the ground. Another big milestone happening right now is Jayden pulling to stand. She's only done it once, but she tries all the time.

Mommy has had some changes of her own as well. I have lost 12 pounds, only 4 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight. I am going back to work on June 1st. I will be doing leasing again. And my doctor has given me the ok to get off my postpartum depression medication, and I have. By the way if your doctor tells you to take a half a pill for a week before you go cold turkey, listen to them. I decided 4 days was enough, cause I am such an expert, and I am regretting it hard core. I am so dizzy all the time. You know how when you are laying down and you get up too fast and get dizzy? That is how I feel all the time, it is terrible.

Other than my drug withdrawals =) I have been feeling great! Every night when I lay down to go to bed I feel so full of love. Every time I think that I could not possibly love J more than I already do, she gives me a hug, or a gummy smile and I realize that for the rest of my life, every time I think I love her as much as possible, I will love her more. She is almost 7 months, and is such a happy and healthy baby. On the days that Jeremy works, every time the garage door opens she perks up and looks at the door until she sees him come in. She is such a Daddy's girl, and it does not make me jealous, it just makes me happy.

Here is my baby striking a pose

Yesssssss

This is so awesome! I got an award! If I could I would do the Carlton dance for you all to see. One of the coolest chicks I've never met gave me this award. I am so excited because I love her blog, it's one of the 4 bookmarked on my computer. So thank you so much Krystal from Tie a Little Ribbon If you all haven't been to her blog I suggest you totally ditch me and go check her out. Her daughter is sooooo adorable, and she is pretty adorable too.

The rules for this award are simple, state 10 things about yourself then pass this award along to 10 fellow bloggers.

Naming 10 other blogs is easy, but I'm sure they have all already received this award. The hard part is trying to think of 10 things about me that are remotely interesting. I'll try my hardest, here we go.

1. I have some pretty uncommon Hollywood crushes. Kevin James is one,

And my silver fox, Dr. Drew

2. I have a very weird issue with being stuck somewhere. When I was younger and went to bars I rarely drank because I was scared of being stuck there. I don't like airplanes because I hate the fact that I can't get off if I want to. Elevators make me nervous because I am afraid they will get stuck and I wont be able to get off. I am even terrified of jails, because again, I can't leave if I want to. Luckily I've never had to go there.

3. I also have an irrational fear of all animals with feathers. Birds, ducks, chickens, geese. I hate em all.

4. I am somewhat of an "old" lady. I think some music these days is inappropriate, for example Rihanna's "Rude Boy" is terribly disgusting, and I hope Jayden never hears it. And when I see a teenage girl with her boobs hanging out I think to myself "my daughter will never dress like that"

5. I an unnaturally attached to Target, I could go there atleast 3 times a week, and if I had the money I could spend hundreds there a week.

6. I am a republican, but believe with all of my heart that gay people should be aloud to marry.

7. I am actually pretty un-interested in celebrity gossip. I could care less how many guys cheat on their wives and use sex addiction a an excuse.

8. I do not like chocolate. I know it's crazy!

9. I have spinal degenerative disorder and it causes me extreem back pain on a daily basis.

10. I have never been stung by a bee.

Now my 10 nominations:
Lunchbox Limbo
The Tarr Pit
Learning How to Love
Changing the Universe
From THIS to THAT
Mommy Moves Again
This Adventure, Our Life
Happy Healthy & Loved
Perfecting Imperfection
Our Life; Narrated by Lacey

Thankful on Thursday

I'm not sure if I will make this a weekly thing or not, but I am feeling especially thankful today so I thought I would jump on board.

1. I am thankful for a supportive husband who stands behind what makes me happy.

 2. I am thankful to have been able to get a job with only submitting one resume and one interview.

3. I am thankful to have been able to stay at home with J as long as I did. She makes me so happy.

4. I am thankful for great parents who make such an incredible effort to come see us and Jayden close to once a month.

5. I am thankful for a beautiful house to raise my baby in.

6. I am thankful for a baby who finally sleeps pretty good, and in her own bed finally.

7. And mostly I am thankful for this face, it brings me joy I never thought possible.

I jumped on the crochet hat bandwagon

I have been wanting this hat since before Jayden was born and I finally got it! I love love love it! So I had to share some pictures of J in her new hat. If you want to know where I got it click here and it will take you to her etsy shop. She was super nice, and it got here very quickly. The quality is even more than I expected.

Revolutions and Pop Stars

Sometimes I can't believe the changes a child brings. Not one part of your life is left unchanged. Some good and some bad, but at the end of the day it's always worth it.

Every show you watch or news story you hear becomes relevant in some way. Jeremy and I have been hooked on a new show called Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution if you haven't seen it, click on the name and you can watch full episodes. Basically Jamie Oliver is a chef who plans to change the world through food. He has already changed the food in public schools in the UK, and now he is coming to the US in hopes of changing the way kids eat in school.

The show is eye opening to say the least. And it's also really sad. He is fighting lazy school cooks who say cooking from scratch "takes too long" and kids who have been fed processed chicken nuggets, pizza and nachos their whole lives. Kids that think a tomato is a potato, and have no idea what broccoli is. DOn't get me wrong, I don't plan on going overboard and only allowing organic, and no sugar ever. But I can say that I will be a lot more aware of what goes into my childs body. If the school system keeps the food they have now, my daughter will have a packed lunch everyday. I want my kids to understand food, to know what things are made of and what is good, and bad.

Another show that I like, Jeremy wont watch this one, is Jessica Simpsons The Price of Beauty I will be the first to admit that I am terrified for my little girl. I hate to be that mom that talks about society and hollywood. But it is so true, when people are saying that Jessica Simpson is fat just because she is in a size 4 instead of a size 2, it scares the living crap out of me. All I can do is make sure she is healthy and hope she knows that it's not about what size you are, but how you feel and how healthy you are.

I would love everyone's input on this, what is important to you and your childs health and how will you deal with society and weight issues?

Day at the park

The weather in Cheyenne was beautiful today, so Jayden, her Dad and I went to the park. We figured Jayden would be too young to enjoy herself, but she seemed to love it. She is in a big girl car seat now and loves the fact that she doesn't have to stay in her infant seat in the stores and restaurants. She loves sitting in highchairs, Her favorite thing is to sit on her Dad's shoulders like this, she laughs the whole time!
She had a great time at the park, here are some pictures that i took with my phone, next time I will bring the camera!

Weight Loss Wednesday

I know I haven't been writing much besides this weight loss nonsense, and I promise I will write with more substance very soon. But in the meantime, it is Wednesday. And I did go to base and weigh myself. I am 179! Down 8 pounds so far. 8 more to go until I am at my pre-pregnancy weight. And after that, another 15 would be great!

I suck at life

I didn't weigh myself again. But I have a really good reason I swear. I have been thinking about getting a job. We can live off of one income, but it's very hard and we are cutting it pretty close every paycheck. We would like to pay off our cars and get a little savings account for Jayden going. Anyway, I decided that if I was gonna get a job it would be one I really want. I have been watching the help wanted ads around here and finally saw one that caught my eye. i am underqualified for the job, but i am confident I could do the job, and very well. Anyway I turned in my Resume on Monday and got an e-mail yesterday requesting an interview for Monday. I am really excited, but there is one problem. i have absolutely nothing to wear. Not one thing. So I spent today looking for something at Target and around the mall. No luck. We are gonna make a trip down to Colorado tomorrow and try again. So that is my super long excuse on why I didn't weigh myself. I will try to soon, I swear!

My first review

When Krystal at Tie a Little Ribbon offered to be my guinea pig for my first review I was super excited! I always look at her cute little bows, but I'll be honest I did not think they would stay in Jaydens hair. Nothing to do with her, it's just even though Jayden has a lot of hair, bows will not stay in her hair. Usually they stay in long enough for a picture and then fall out. So as soon as I got them in the mail I put a couple in her hair and waited for them to fall out.... They didn't!!! i was so excited to actually be able to put bows in her hair when we go places!

So here are some pictures of Jayden in her bows, sorry my camera sucks! And then you better go click on her button to check her out! She makes tons of really cute bows for a very good price, and they actually STAY IN!!! Did I mention I am excited about that?
